Is LinoClass compliant with Quebec's Law 25?
Yes. Student and parent data are hosted in Canada on Cloudflare infrastructure (enam location hint — Eastern North America). Data collection is minimal, consent is explicit, and a privacy officer is identified. LinoClass is also PIPEDA (Canadian federal) and GDPR (European) compliant by default.
How much does LinoClass cost?
Two tiers. Free: try without a credit card, up to 10 students. Teacher Pro: CA$79 per year per teacher (about $6.58 per month). No multi-year commitments, no hidden fees.
My students are 6. How do they log in without passwords?
Each class gets a QR valid for the full school year. Students scan it from the home page and they're in. No passwords to remember, nothing to reset. For safety, QR codes only work between 6 AM and 6 PM on school days, and sessions expire after 8 hours of inactivity.
Do parents need to install an app?
No. Parents get a magic link by email that logs them in directly. No account, no app, no password. A weekly digest goes out every Friday.
Does it work on iPads and Chromebooks?
Yes. LinoClass is a progressive web app (PWA) that runs on any device with a modern browser. It can be added to the home screen to behave like a native app, with offline support for reading.
What happens to our data if I stop using LinoClass?
You can export the full portfolio as a PDF or downloadable archive at any time. On request, all data associated with your account is deleted within 30 days, including backup copies.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes for the first class. Account, student roster, print the class QR. Parents get their invitation automatically.
Is LinoClass bilingual?
Yes. Fully translated interface in Canadian French and Canadian English. Each parent, teacher, and student picks their language. Automated communications (digest, notifications) respect each user's preference.
